After a mishap with the boat trailer causing us to postpone this shoot for a couple of weeks, we were so excited to finally get shooting these two. (I always feel so weird when I say we shot a couple, or had a shoot.... but what else can I say?!) I don't think we've ever done a session with so many changes in light and atmosphere. We started things off with Brittany and Stephen on a beautiful island with some pretty harsh lighting, but I think the results turned out beautifully.
Just as we were leaving the island to head up to a sand bar to end our session with a bon fire, we were surrounding by this incredibly amazing fog. All around us was fog and we could barely see 20 feet in front of us. As we were slowly working our way through the fog towards the sand bar, we HAD to get some shots amidst the mysterious fog. Seriously, it was the freaking Bermuda triangle out there.
We eventually did find the sand bar... but it was underwater. So we made our way back to the original island to set up our bon fire.
As our generous friends, (who took us out to the island on their boat - thanks Glenn, Debbie, Jacob & of course Levi!!!) set up the fire, we snapped a few more portraits before the sun was completely gone.
This was hands down one of our favorite engagement shoots ever! It turned into a really romantic session thanks to the fog and the fire. We had an amazing time with you both, Stephen & Brittany. We hope you love your pictures!
