Gosh, this is almost sad to be posting this wedding... It feels like we've been anticipating Drew & Melanie's wedding for such a long time! We met them back in the Spring of 2015, did their engagement session that summer and now their wedding has come and gone. It's bittersweet!
Drew & Melanie are just so great and are such kind people! We have LOVED all of the time we've been able to spend with them and it was so wonderful to get to know their friends and families on their wedding. Please enjoy this amazing couple!
We call this one "Find the straw..."
This was one of the sweetest moments from Drew & Melanie's wedding day. When Melanie's father, Phil, saw her for the first time that day there was SOOO much sweetness happening. Not only was Phil moved to tears by seeing his beautiful daughter as a bride, but he surprised Melanie by wearing a tie she had made for him for Father's Day when she was 2. Both of their reactions were just perfect.

From Drew & Melanie:
Favorite memories of the day: Our first dance right as the sun was setting - it was perfect and that song will forever mean so much to us! Also, getting ready with our groomsmen and bridesmaids - it was so great to have our closest friends and family surrounding us on this special day! And cutting the cake, because we had no idea how to cut out a piece but we made it work together!
Sweetest memory of the day:Drew: Giving my mom her engraved bookmark and photo frame! Melanie: My first look with my Dad - there were many happy tears!
Funniest memory of the day: When our ring bearer did not want to walk down the aisle! We knew he might have a little trouble but he was quite literally dragged down! Also when Drew's aunt caught the bouquet and the maid of honor's dad caught the garter!
Advice for future brides: During the planning process do not stress over the tiny details - if something doesn’t go exactly as planned on the day of chances are no one will know but you! Make sure you eat at least a little bit before you walk down the aisle, and don't have too many mimosas! And most importantly, make sure to take a few seconds here and there throughout the whole day to stop, breathe, and realize how much love is surrounding you!
Advice for future grooms: Don't get too crazy at the rehearsal dinner the night before or you'll regret it in the morning!
Thanks goes out to... All of our amazing vendors - we couldn’t have picked a better team to help us on our special day! Our bridal party who were so great to us and we love them all so much! Our friends and family who flew and drove from all over to come celebrate with us! Drew’s mom Claudia for helping us have a delicious rehearsal dinner! Melanie’s parents Fran and Phil for making our dream wedding possible! Extra thanks to Jake & Katie who were way more than just photographers to us! We truly felt like you guys were part of our bridal party! Big props to Katie for jumping right in to help when the clasp on the wedding dress popped off! And to Jake for going over the top to have the kids smile for the photos! :)
