We love these two and we are so grateful to have been their wedding photographers. We've known Steve for years and are so happy that he found Lindsey. They are so perfect for each other.
Advice for future grooms:
As much as you are able to, or allowed to for some :), help with the planning of everything. You'll find that it is less stressful for both of you and more enjoyable when you finally get to experience all the plans you made for the special day together. And it will be perfectly tailored to the uniqueness of you and your wife, which is all the more meaningful.
Advice for future brides:
If you don't care about something, don't feel like you have to include it. Skip the traditional elements that lack significance so you have the opportunity to add distinct details that are more meaningful to you two. It could save you to save some time and money, and it will definitely help you stay focused on what makes your relationship so special.
What are some of your favorite memories from your wedding?
Steve: Seeing Lindsey for the first time!!! I lost it. Nobody do a first look ever, just wait!
Lindsey: Walking down the aisle to Steve. We were both in tears, and the love from all of our guests was palpable. My heart was overflowing with joy!
What are some of your funniest memories from your wedding?
Prior to the wedding party being introduced, all of the girls were in the elevator trying to bustle Lindsey's dress before the door opened. The ride was much shorter than expected, and when it did open, nobody inside was ready. They had to just politely wave and smile because all the guests were crowded around, staring at us... This happened two or three times until everything was ready for us to actuallyexit the elevator.
During the ceremony, Steve's ring got stuck halfway down his finger. Remembering the pastor's instructions from rehearsal, Lindsey was just going to leave it and not force anything. But Steve said "it'll go," so there was a hardy shove and it did in fact slide past his knuckle. It was a moment of comic relief from an emotional ceremony that the congregation all seemed to enjoy quite a bit.
What is your sweetest memory from your wedding day?
While everyone was outside getting ready for our sendoff, we shared a few minutes alone dancing to one of our favorite songs. It was such a peaceful moment to just be together and not worry about anything.
Thanks goes out to...
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to both of our families for everything they helped with, including our births. Even more so to God for our meeting and His perfect timing in each of our lives to fall in love.
