Luke & Bri... what to even say about these two? It has been so much fun getting to know both of them and to be able to capture their sweet love on camera. They are the type of people that are refreshing to be around because they just exude positivity and happiness. From their engagement session to their wedding day, we have seen them have so much joy together. Luke & Bri chose to get married at The Vault in Downtown Tampa because of it's modern look which they felt fit both of their styles. Plus, having an indoor venue with great light is KEY when getting married in the middle of summer in Florida.
Advice for future grooms:
Relax. There are so many reasons why you've chosen this woman to be your bride. This is the beginning of the biggest adventure you've ever embarked on. Enjoy this day and make sure its one you'll never forget.
What were some of your favorite memories from your wedding day?
I loved spending the morning surrounded by all of my favorite women! Everyone there helped so much through the planning process so it was really nice to spend that time relaxing and laughing together. -Bri
Dancing to some of my favorite songs, taking pictures with the groomsmen before the ceremony, and getting to see all of our family and friends that traveled far to celebrate with us. -Luke
Advice for future brides:
Do whatever you want. Serve cobbler instead of cake, have your favorite local barbecue place cater, or don't buy real flowers. Seriously, whatever floats your boat. It's the one day that you can get away with anything you want and no one can argue with you, not even Mom.
What were some of the sweetest memories from your wedding day?
The short time I got to spend with my Dad before we walked down the isle is something I won't forget. Seeing Luke for the first time that day is another sweet memory from the day. -Bri
Seeing my mom tear up before Bri walked down the aisle and the first dance with my wife! -Luke
What is something that happened on your wedding day that you didn't expect?
Nothing went wrong! Crazy, right? We literally had no issues. Even the weather was on our side that day.
Is there anything you wish you knew?
We wish we knew how fast the night would fly by. We even missed out on the cobbler while it was being served and had to grab some leftovers towards the end of the night. Finding a spoon to eat that cobbler was an entirely different challenge.
What were some of the funniest memories from your wedding day?
Watching the groomsmen hit the dance floor!
Thanks goes out to...
All of our friends and family that made the day possible, that traveled to be there, or who sent us well wishes! We really could not have done it without Brandon and Mande Tracy, Jeff and Kim Graves, our parents, our siblings, and all of the groomsmen and bridesmaids. We love and cherish all of you and are so thankful that you are a part of our story.
All the Details
Our wedding day vision was to have a blast. The Bride. Bri purchased her wedding dress from The White Magnolia in Tampa. It's the Jacinda gown from Watters. The Groom. Back at it again with the white vans! Luke and the groomsmen wore gray chinos, a white button down, white Vans , and a bow tie of their choice. The Bridesmaids. The bridal party was compilation of sisters, almost sisters, and friends that felt like sisters. They wore whatever gray dress they felt best in. The Groomsmen. The groomsmen were a band of brothers. Not all by blood or by legal relation, but by brotherly love for one lucky man. Luke has known his groomsmen for years, many since birth; he couldn't fathom standing alongside any other group of guys. Luke's gift to all of the groomsmen was a pair of squeaky clean, white Vans. The Music. Luke and Bri met while working at Starbucks and their first dance song used to play through the speakers all the time. You Are The Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne The Ceremony. We didn't say our own vows due to the mass amount of tears that would come with trying to say them out loud. Instead, we wrote our own vows and exchanged them after the rehearsal dinner to read the morning of the wedding. The Reception. Bri forgot to buy a garter (oops) so we skipped that traditional event. We got to spend some time with all everyone that was there and that was really special for us.
Who made this day happen?
Planner: Mande Tracy. She is the go-to woman for pretty much everything. She can make the sun come out on a cloudy day if you ask her nicely and she can fix anything with one of her hugs.
Make Up Artist: Paola Murrieta. She is a friend from church who does fabulous work! Bridal Salon:The White Magnolia. It is a small salon that works with one bride at a time so you get a very personal experience! Florist: Meagan Chapman from EcoFlower. Bri isn't a huge fan of buying real flowers so she started looking for some sort of alternative and stumbled upon EcoFlower. Its a new small business in Utah that is owned by a fierce young woman who is making her dreams come true. Caterer: 4Rivers. This is one of our favorite places to eat and by far our favorite barbecue joint in Tampa. DJ: Eric Hardy. Luke's mom is a nurse and Eric was one of her patients! When we started looking at a DJ she was able to put us in touch with him.
