Daniel & Lily • At Home Engagement Session • Tampa, Florida

Love love love this session!!! And if you're wondering if you can bring your dog to your session, the answer is always always YES. Daniel & Lily were so easy in front of the camera and their pup Nero was a total ham.

At home sessions are so much fun and a great option for these hot summer months!

When & how did you meet?

We met in high school, Danny and I shared a few classes together and some how always ended up sitting next to each other. He would always make me laugh and in return I would help him out with some of the classwork. It wasn't until after he graduated that one of his close friends set us up.

When & how did you get engaged?

It all started one night when we went out to dinner and Danny hinted that he would like to get engaged soon. Me being the wedding obsessed girl that I am, thought nothing of it. (Little did I know he already had a ring!) He got me all excited, then a few week later told me he went to through his finances and it just wasn't going to happen for a few years. I told him that it was ok and we had time. About 3 or so weeks later he took me on a nice walk with our puppy, he was very sweet and told me why he loved our life so much. We made it to the dog park and he told me to close my eyes. When I opened them, he had our dog with a note attached to him. The note said "will you marry him?" I look up and and was he down on one knee with a ring in his hand. I was shocked! I said yes of course then we drove to the store to get champagne. When we got in the car 'Forever and Ever, Amen' by Randy Travis was playing on the radio and I knew that it was meant to be.

Daniel as explained by Lily.

When I try to think of a word to describe Danny, all I can think of is home. I can go on and on about how amazing, funny, smart, and talented he is. Every day he surprises me, everyday we learn something new about each other. He is the often found playing with our puppy, making delicious breakfast, laughing with his friends, or watching Seinfeld.

Lily as explained by Daniel.

Lily is the embodiment of everything that is good in the world. She is intelligent, driven, compassionate, and always has a way of seeing the positive aspects of everything. It is hard to imagine what life would be like without her. Even after 5 years she still manages to surprise me. Sometimes I feel like she knows me better than I know myself. She is often found hanging out with friends, listening to Britney Spears, or watching HGTV.

Daniel & Lauren • Bok Tower Proposal • Lake Wales, Florida

I (Jake) had the awesome privilege to photograph Daniel proposing to Lauren yesterday at Bok Tower Gardens. Daniel & I met for coffee a few weeks back to talk about the proposal and how it was all going to happen. He told me why he chose Bok Tower and shared some sweet stories about why this place was special to them. Not only was this the spot they went on their first "official" date but yesterday also marked one year of dating for them! Their first date at Bok Tower consisted of not just one, but multiple interactions with strangers. First, as they were sitting on a bench a woman approached them and asked if she could take a picture of them. Second, as they were walking and standing in front of the tower, an older couple with years of marriage behind them, came up and told them that it was in the exact spot, years ago that they exchanged their wedding vows. Now, that was just their first date, so wedding bells weren't even being considered. But it is such a special memory that they share now! Of course, Daniel used that same bench yesterday. After walking the gardens for a bit, they found their way to the bench, spent some time in prayer and then he popped the question!

Enough chit chat. Scroll on to see these two sweet people and their wonderful love.

Daniel & Lauren, congratulations!!! We are so excited for you!

Casey & Jessica • Downtown St. Pete Couple's Session • St. Petersburg, Florida

Casey & Jessica celebrated their one-year anniversary with champagne and photos! We had fun wandering around Downtown St. Pete with these two. It is always fun to photograph a married couple because, at least for an hour or so, you get to watch them fall in love with each other all over again!

What is still a favorite memory from your wedding day?

Casey: Jessica and I decided to do a first look with each other just before the wedding ceremony because we thought it would make for some heart warming pictures to look back at. The photographer found this cute little bridge and stationed me facing out towards the open field with my eyes shut waiting for my bride-to-be. I waited for what seemed like decades while I was shaking, sweating, and going through all of the possibilities of what her dress might look like. Shortly after, I heard a quiet voice whisper in my ear to turn around where I would find the most beautiful sight I could imagine. To this day I can vividly picture every inch of her dress, her perfectly crafted hair, and astonishing makeup. But for me. the single best memory from our wedding day was turning around on that bridge and seeing my wife's smile. Moments like this don't come often in life and the joy, love, and compassion behind that smile will forever be locked in my mind.

What is still a favorite memory from your wedding day?

Jess: Walking out to see Casey waiting on the other side of the little bridge anxiously waiting to see me for the first time as his bride. The moment he turned around all of my nerves disappeared and I knew that was the only place in the world I wanted to be. He wrapped his arms around me and for the first time the weight of long distance was completely gone and I knew this was the start of our forever.

Jessica as explained by Casey:

You know the feeling you get when you are having an abnormally good day and everything seems to be going right? That is Jessica to me. When we met I had the classic 12-year-old crush and over the years it developed into a beautiful friendship and marriage. Not only is she the most honest and loving person I know, she is my best friend and every moment with her brings light to my happiness and warmth to my heart. She's kinda the best.

Casey as explained by Jessica:

Casey is the most driven person I've ever met. He pushes me to be my best self every single day. His kindness and genuine heart do not go unnoticed. He is the best travel partner and always puts up with my singing on road trips. He lifts my burdens and he is a undeserved blessing.
